i love working w/ brides and bridesmaids. they are always so excited. tons of emotion. lots of laughter. this wedding party was wonderful to work with. the bride and i actually used to run cross country and track together back in the day. :o) is she gorgeous or what?!

a new mama always equals cuteness,
but when that new mama is one of your best friends...
it doubles the cuteness.
my sweet friend jessie has joined the land of motherhood and I'm so thrilled. she is an amazing soul with a GIANT heart. she's going to make one awesome mom. i am so excited to watch her grow into this role.
and of course aunt amber will always be here to baby-sit when she needs me.

we finally had the chance to visit our good friends amber & will this past weekend.
during our visit, we shot some engagement photos for them and had a blast in downtown Columbus. we LOVE shooting in urban areas. we just walk around and search for awesome locations/backgrounds. there is always something new around each corner and we adore that. totally unexpected and new.
we are thrilled they will be there on our wedding day with us, and we can't wait for their day as well.
there be a whole buncha gettin' hitched this summer.

i almost forgot to post some images of the little one all by himself. he is just too precious.

as i was sitting tonight, working on client's images... i thought of these photos. this is rob's brother and his family. i saw these 2 boys today, and i was amazed at how much they have grown. this session is almost 2 years old i believe... kids grow so darn fast. :o) A
what do you do when your client locks her keys to her car in her trunk with all of her clothes for the session?... You laugh. :o) Poor Amy.
we were only about 10 minutes into the session and she asked Mark where the keys were..."ummm, i thought you had them."
Luckily, her grandparents saved the day by bringing her an extra pair of keys... but they didn't open her trunk. so, her boyfriend saved the day by ripping out the backseat of her car so the session could go on.
that is right. ripped out the darn backseat.
cracked me up.
but hey, it was worth it. we had a great time. Amy wants to be a photographer when she "grows up". So, I was super flattered when she asked me to take her senior photos for her. I wish her the best of luck, I'm sure she will do great. Thank you Amy and Mark for a wonderful day. RIP backseat.
